I swear on a stack of Bibles that Donald J. Trump is insane.

In case any of his evangelical Christian Nationalist and Conservative Catholic followers needed more proof that he’s incompetent, I hope to God that Trump posting a picture of himself as Jesus Christ (a.k.a. Dr. Jesus Trump) and fighting with the Pope for sharing the message of the Gospel provides the information they need to reconsider their faithful support of Trump. I’ve heard that many of his MAGA base are offended by Trump’s irreverent acts. I’m curious to see if the offensiveness of Trump’s recent behavior is enough for them to finally see America’s president for what he is. He’s a liar. He’s lied to his followers. He’s lied to America. He’s lied to the world. He’s lied about his competency. He’s lied about his sanity. He’s lied about his innocence. He’s told so many lies he has to tell lies to cover the lies. I don’t know why he has to lie, I hope he . . . There’s nothing I or anyone can say that explains his deranged behavior. That’s what insanity is and does. It’s puzzling behavior that perplexes those who are affected by it—which, in Trump’s case, is the entire world right now.

Using rational words to address something crazy is pointless. It doesn’t change anything if people keep enabling insane behavior. Supporters of Trump continuing to allow him to lie and expecting different results is insanity. Rational words won’t change anything when a crazy-ass president is allowed to keep his power and keep the world spinning upside down just to cover his disturbing truths. But words can provide comic relief from the damage Donald Jesus Trump is doing to literally every aspect of life. I encourage everyone to laugh at his expense, and maybe someday he’ll actually pay for his insane lies.
